Seems to be working well. The rest of the country should adopt their model. |

The solar and windmill section of their production shut down and almost collapsed the grid with their failures.
10% of the power supply dropped out causing cascade failures across the Texas grid.
The truth is the wind turbines were actually syphoning power off the grid to keep the turbines from freezing. _________________

Holy cow midge!! Where do you come up with this outlandish BS?? This article sounds like a story you and Sidney Powell would come uo with to defend Gaetz!

Texas leads the nation in wind power with 25% of the energy produced by wind. Most coal-fired plants were taken offline as more wind energy was created. The wind farms collapsed as the stormed moved in. Causing a cascade failure across the grid.
Real-time chart showed an 80% drop in wind energy production in a 24 hours period after the storm hit. _________________

Yet the wind farms in Michigan didn't miss a beat. |

Cold weather states take extra and very expensive steps to back up wind-generated energy. We are talking about conditions not normally seen in Texas. So the extra steps were cost prohibited. Wind energy only makes up 4.5%(2,681 megawatts) of Michigan's power production compared to 25% (31,000 megawatts) in Texas.
Even if 100% of Michigan's wind power production is lost it is not enough to cause a cascade failure on the grid. But there was a loss of 20% of all power production on the grid when the wind power failed in Texas. Which caused cascade failure on the grid.
Even with the 80% drop, the texas wind production was still higher than Michigans windproduction. _________________

Not normal, but not impossible. Deep freezes do happen in Texas from time to time. So what is your point? Are you bashing green energy because those responsible for building the wind farms in Texas cut corners? |

States with bad winters know not to rely on wind power for electrical generation.
There's a reason why Michigan only has 4.5% of its power generated by wind. _________________
